First Mason–and second man–on the Moon Featured in this First Day Cover

On July 20, 1969, Edwin “Buzz” Aldrin followed Neil Armstrong down the Eagle’s ladder and became the second man to step onto the moon. Aldrin was also the first Mason on the moon. He was a member of Montclair Masonic Lodge No. 144, in Montclair, New Jersey USA.

This First Day Cover depicts this important event in both world and Masonic History. The cover features the first day of issue for this six-cent version of the U.S. flag flying over the White House.
